PIONIEZ Pierre. EXCEPTIONAL BONHEUR DU JOUR TRANSITION in precious wood veneer and bronze ornamentation. The upper part opens with 2 small doors framing a drawer. The doors feature a bronze medallion inside which fine marquetry depicts vases, bowls and floral motifs. It opens at the waist with a wide drawer trimmed with interlacing bronzes, a leather writing tablet and 2 small silver-plated metal inkwells. The top is decorated with an inkwell, pen tray, letter, books and flower vases. It stands on 4 curved, faceted legs framing a serving shelf with fine inlaid decoration of a brush holder and brushes, a vase of flowers and a small tea set.
