Jules Renard, les philippe, preceded by patrie! Décoré de cent un bois originaux dont huit camaïeux de Paul Colin, P., Editions d'Art Edouard Pelletan, 1907, in-8, half morocco chocolate, à la Bradel, date on tail, cover and spine preserved (Canape), num.642/1000 Marais, copy enriched with an additional suite on chine, all plates monogrammed by Colin in pencil and the specimen, binding rubbed. A very fine book, to be sought in large paper, it deserves a much higher appreciation. P.-E. Colin is an original wood engraver of great talent. He has succeeded very well in black illustrations and has had the wisdom to preserve the tradition of the ancients. (Carteret-IV-338)
