CHINESE PEARL in glazed ceramic. China (Shaanxi or Henan region). The surface is decorated with a relief pattern of circular lozenges evenly distributed over the entire sphere, each with a small turquoise or green-blue glazed dot in the center. The fine, ochre-brown paste shows a natural burial patina. Funerary offering intended to accompany the deceased and protect them from malevolent spirits. Han Dynasty (-206+220). Dim: 2,5/3 cm. Objects, for the most part "literati", from the former Yelena X... collection, resident in Hong Kong before the Second World War.
