In Paris, from the Imprimerie impériale, 1806-1807. 2 pieces bound in 1 vol. in-8, havana basane, smooth spine decorated, title piece in havana morocco, red edges (binding of the period). Bound at the head and end of the copy: (24) ff. manuscripts. First publication in the Bulletin des Lois of the Code of Civil Procedure and the Commercial Code in their entirety, preceding the original editions published in 1806 and 1807 respectively. Copy entirely annotated in ink of the time (back covers, cover sheets, additional sheets, margins of printed sheets) most certainly by a man of law who signed his copy several times with the name "Maigne-(Faurinet)" but whom we were unable to identify. He mixes with the erudition of his comments, the decrees and amendments that modified both codes until 1811. In addition, the author has drawn up a table of contents for each code. A working copy of a magistrate's work under the Empire, contemporary with the promulgation of the codes of civil procedure and commerce. Worn corners.
