BIRCKLE Jacques, Master in 1764 (Attributed to). LARGE TRANSITION JUMPING COMMODE with central and rear recesses in rosewood and precious wood veneer decorated with a rich marquetry of musical instruments, sheet music and vases of flowers in double Greek fillet frames and geometric scrolls. It opens with 2 drawers without a crossbar. The uprights are flat-ribbed. The legs are slightly curved and faceted. The sides are inlaid with Antique-style vases. Beautiful ornamentation of gilded bronzes. Breche d'Alep marble top (restored). 18th c. W.127 D.60 H.87.
