SMALL RENAISSANCE TRAVELLING CASE in molded and carved wood of architectural form with hinge and wrought-iron lock opening with 1 top flap. The engaged pilaster body is centered on a rectangular base decorated with stylized foliage and rosettes. Probably made in the Loire Valley in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. H.41 W.41 D.35.
