Rectangular LOUIS XVI SECRETARY in precious wood veneer decorated with a marquetry of musical instruments topped by 2 doves framed by fine drapery. It opens with 1 drawer in the upper part, decorated with interlacing quatrefoil motifs, a flap revealing a beautiful interior and 2 doors inlaid with fruit and ribbon bows. The uprights are canted with simulated fluting. The sides are inlaid with flowers. Attributed to BIRCKLE. White marble top (reglued). 18th c. W.81 H.135 D.38.
