With its small 49 cm³ engine mounted above the front wheel and its unmistakable look, it quickly established itself as the travel companion of students, workers and city dwellers in search of practical, economical and accessible mobility. Easy to use, robust and fuel-efficient, over the decades it became much more than a simple means of transport: it became a true symbol of freedom and popular conviviality. Even today, the S 3800 retains a special aura, appealing to collectors and those nostalgic for a time when the Solex was part of everyday life.
