Pierre ROUSSEL. LARGE AND EXCEPTIONAL TRANSITIONAL COMMODE with double central recess in rosewood and amaranth veneer decorated with Greek marquetry and butterfly wings. It opens with 2 crossbarless drawers framed by rounded uprights simulating fluting. Drop-back jambs. Curved legs. Finely chased gilded bronze ornamentation.
