XVIIth OMBRIAN SCHOOL inspired by PERUGINO. "Virgin and Child on a landscape background". Tempera on wood. H.57,5 L.47 With frame H.74,5 L.64. Typical of the Umbrian school, the Virgin's head is slightly tilted, her gaze soft and doubtful, her upper eyelids a little heavy and her eyes turned downwards. In the background, the miniature fortified town and the bluish hills are reminiscent of the Perugia region.
